Nearly six years ago, NiHPRO® was not a product. It wasn’t even a prototype. It was an idea—a daring vision born from equal parts frustration with the status quo and belief in a better, more inclusive way to nourish the world. At the time, the protein industry was saturated with the same offerings: allergen-heavy, difficult-to-digest, uninspired commodities that failed to consider the diverse needs of modern consumers.
I remember late nights, writing nutritional formula notes middle of the night on my phone.. I remember phone calls to scientists, athletes, and food innovators across the world, and endless discussions with my partners asking: What if we created a protein for everybody? One that digests easily, tastes amazing, and doesn’t compromise nutrition or sustainability?
That idea grew into a relentless mission.
The Road of Trials: From Dream to Disruption
The journey from idea to global impact has not been without its challenges. It’s been a rollercoaster ride: thrilling peaks, gut-wrenching dips, and moments when giving up would have been the easier path.
We spent years researching and developing our proprietary Advanced Precision Hydrolysis (APH) and Molecular Protein Infusion (MPI) technologies, scrutinizing all aspects of sensory and nutritional properties. We built and rebuilt pilot plants. We faced nights with no sleep, where funding was uncertain, where production failed, where formulations didn’t meet our uncompromising standards. There were painful delays and personal sacrifices, but each failure was a step forward.
The question people often ask is: Was it worth it?
